Packed with incredible dance numbers, catchy tunes, and a meaningful story, you won't want to miss this year's musical event! Somewhere inside of all of us is the power to change the world. Amelia Duncan (Senior) stars as Matilda, reminding us all that even if you are little, you can do a lot in your own life story.
Matilda's journey begins in a home where her love for learning and her unique creativity aren't quite understood. Her father, Mr. Wormwood (Jayten Kitts), and brother, Michael (Xavier Locke), value knowledge gained only through television, while her mother, Mrs. Wormwood (Aryzzma Robinson), prefers salsa dancing with her trainer, Rudolpho (Jeremiah Jones). When she is finally sent to school, she faces the intimidating Miss Trunchbull (Ryan Gilliam), who notoriously has no patience for children.
Despite these challenges, Matilda finds community with classmates like Lavender (Maddison Hodson) and Bruce (Izaiah Jackson). It is her teacher, Miss Honey (Ashlynn Stalter), and the librarian, Mrs. Phelps (Mia Southwell), who truly see her worth, encouraging her imagination and helping her overcome her circumstances.
Spotlight on Talent
The stage will be filled with familiar faces and rising stars. Watch for appearances by Franklyn Hole, Zion Smith, Payton Moore, Myla Duke, Zandrea Redman, and Haleigh West, alongside newcomers Rahmere Irving and Hudson Kalkstein. These performers, together with a cast and crew of over 100 Wildkat students, are ready to deliver a powerhouse performance.
