About Us

Maple Crest STEM Middle School provides students in grades 6-8 with a quality education in a STEM (Science/ Technology/ Engineering/ Mathematics) environment. Maple Crest earned its STEM Certification from the Indiana Department of Education in 2016 and was recertified in 2021. The Maple Crest staff has developed a STEM-rich interdisciplinary curriculum that employs inquiry- and project-based learning. Maple Crest also focuses on community engagement, and student-centered classrooms.

In addition to the STEM curriculum Maple Crest offers students and parents a choice of the Career School for qualified 8th graders. The Career School gives students opportunities to investigate a career area for high school credit. Students in the Career School attend classes at Maple Crest and the Kokomo Area Career Center. While at the career center on the Kokomo High School campus, students take high school level classes, these classes could include: Health Science, Auto Service, Marketing, Culinary Arts, Graphic Design, and Engineering & Design.

School Hours: 8:05 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
